SHERIDAN ZUTHER
A native North Dakota farm girl, Sheridan Zuther is currently in her 5th season with Five By Design. She received her B.M. in Vocal Performance-Opera from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Conservatory of Music. During the summers, Sheridan enjoys giving back as a vocal jazz instructor to students attending the International Music Camp located at the Peace Gardens on the ND/Canadian border, a great art institution she attended for 4 years as a band/ drama/ creative writing student.
Sheridan has starred in a number of Twin Cities’ musical theatre productions since 1998 taking stage at the Ordway and the Guthrie, as well as producing and musical directing her own shows. Her most recent production, ‘Rent’ at the Lab Theater in Feb. 2010, was acclaimed by the Minneapolis Star Tribune as “Full of gumption, moxie and deep emotion, this RENT ROCKS!”
As an alumni of the Cabaret Conference at Yale University, she is one of the founding members of the Twin Cities Cabaret Artists Network, promoting public awareness and advancement of cabaret performance in the Twin Cities community. Sheridan performs locally with blues and jazz combos and has performed at Carnegie Hall, and guest soloist for Minneapolis Musical Theater’s MN AIDS Project and the Twin Cities Community Gospel Choir.
Sheridan lives in NE Minneapolis and enjoys cooking and walking/biking the nearby lakes. She thanks her Mom & Dad for their loving support and their sacrifice for the many years of music lessons.
