Cathy has been a member of Five By Design since 1997 when we met her on the campus of Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa. Cathy was a graduate student and working under vocal jazz educator, Phil Mattson. Cathy did her undergrad work at Shennadoah College and received her masters at UM-Kansas City.
Cathy was Five By Design's alto (1997-2005) and now represents the quintet as its tour coordinator; attending regional performing arts conferences throughout the country. Cathy and her husband Trevor are the proud parents of Aidan Douglas who was born on April 29, 2006. The Scotts also have two dogs, Buddy and Holly.
